I am trying to get a message to Frederic Paris. I am compiling a book with Alastair Gavin of Folk Tunes and would like his permission to include Le Canal en Octobre. We would of course credit him with the writing of the tune. The book will contain about 100 tunes each with a 2nd part that we have written, and we have received support from the English Folk Camps Society. Folk Camps have been going since the 1960’s and run daily music workshops for the duration of the camps, and Le Canal en Octobre is often played. For the past 50 years we have used a book called Join The Band, but feel it is now time for a new book!
